Limited Sponsored Use of the Memorial Theatre
What is this?
The Hawera Memorial Theatre Trust's aim is to support and promote the Arts in South Taranaki. The Memorial Theatre is a facility the community can be proud of and we are committed to providing financial and other assistance to community groups.
Limited Sponsored Community Use of the Memorial Theatre will be considered on an annual basis depending upon the availability of funds.
The South Taranaki District Council will receive a schedule of the registered participants and registration number together with details of the amount of theatre use allocated to each participant.
Bookings for the use of the Memorial Theatre under the Sponsored Community Use facility, must be made at the STDC offices (in the normal manner) and hours of “sponsorship use” will be debited against the participants’ allocations on a day to day basis or as required by the STDC.
SPONSORED COMMUNITY THEATRE USE will be available for rehearsals, workshops and practices ONLY where there is no entrance fee, paying or invited guests. All public performances or gatherings with an entrance fee, paying or invited audience will be charged the standard rate of hire as set by the STDC.
To qualify for Limited Sponsored Community Use, all applicants must reside or operate within the South Taranaki District Council area and be one or more of the following:-
